For the first time... a flying car on the streets of California

A video documented a strange scene of a flying car being tested, on a public street in California that was closed specifically for this purpose.

In the video, the car appeared to move forward a few meters, before taking off vertically, sliding in the air over the car in front of it, then landing on the ground and resuming its movement again.

According to the Daily Mail website, the manufacturer of the flying car said in a statement: “There have been previous videos of cars driving and using a runway for take-off, in addition to clips of tethered flights and flying taxis, but this is the first video released publicly that shows a car flying in the air.”

According to the company, the video is the first in history to show a car driving and taking off vertically.

“This test drive and flight represents important evidence of the technology being applied in a real-world environment,” said Jim Ducogne, CEO of Aleph.

He added: "We hope it will be a moment similar to the Wright brothers' video at Cutty Hawk, where we prove to humanity that new transportation is possible."

Although the testing was done using a special, very light version of the flying car which would eventually be a two-seater car with a road driving range of up to 200 miles and a flight range of up to 110 miles.

The car relies on four small motors in each wheel, and will drive similarly to a regular electric car.

This leaves space in the front and back for eight propellers, which rotate independently at different speeds to enable it to fly in any direction.

The car uses a technology called distributed electric propulsion, with a mesh cover over the fan blades that allows air to flow through the car.

The car's maximum cruising speed is 110 miles per hour, while on the road it will be limited to between 25 and 35 miles per hour, although it is capable of reaching higher speeds.

This is so that the vehicle, which weighs 850 pounds, can be classified as light speed according to the legal classification that is assigned to small electric vehicles such as golf carts, in order to pass the legal regulations.

The mid-air controls are similar to those used to fly small aircraft such as drones.

Thank you !
