Throughout human history and our planet, Earth continues to surprise us with wondrous discoveries that prompt scientists to ponder, attempting to explain them. However, many of these discoveries remain hidden secrets that the Earth keeps to itself, keeping them away from the curiosity of s

One of these wondrous discoveries is the Earth's gravity, thanks to Newton's apple. According to his law, gravity decreases the farther we move from Earth. But what if you knew that there are unknown areas, or rather, no longer unknown, on Earth's surface where gravity is zero, as if they were part of space?

Nine Places with Zero Gravity on Earth's Surface

The travel website, specializing in tourism and travel, has listed nine locations on Earth where gravity is zero, a strange phenomenon for which scientists have found no explanation. These locations are:

Kaikteyo Pagoda in Myanmarhttps://www.atlasobscura.com/places/kyaiktiyo
- Kaikteyo Pagoda in Myanmar. Visitors to this temple see a large, golden rock that appears as if it is about to fall, but it falls and remains standing on the edge of a mountain.

Magnetic Hill in indiahttps://scrolldroll.com/must-visit-places-in-leh-ladakh/magnetic-hill-places-to-visit-in-ladakh/
- Magnetic Hill in India: When cars are left at the bottom of this hill, they appear to rise upward.

Waterfall int he Faroe Islandshttps://guidetofaroeislands.fo/travel-faroe-islands/drive/mulafossur/
- Waterfall in the Faroe Islands between Iceland and Scotland: Water flows from the bottom up, as a result of strong winds hitting the water.

Hoover Dam in Nevada
https://www.britannica.com/topic/Hoover-Dam
- Hoover Dam in Nevada: Water does not fall over the edge of the American dam, but rather flows backward. This phenomenon is due to the dam's design, which exploits strong winds to pump water.

Dokkaebi Road in South Koreahttps://english.visitkorea.or.kr/svc/contents/contentsView.do?vcontsId=186416
- Dokkaebi Road in South Korea: Residents have noticed that when they leave rollable objects, such as balls and car tires, on this road, they roll upward.

Mount Aragats in Armenia

- Mount Aragats in Armenia: Visitors to this place can see river water flowing upward at the foot of the mountain.

Moncton Hill in Canada
https://canadiangeographic.ca/articles/rolling-uphill-in-new-brunswick/
- Moncton Hill in Canada: Objects in this area move upward as if a magnet in the sky is attracting them.

Hudson Bay in Canada
https://www.worldatlas.com/bays/hudson-bay.html
- Hudson Bay in Canada: A group of people have noticed their weights significantly lower than their actual weight when they visit this area, attributing this to decreased gravity.

Oregon Vortex
https://www.oregonlive.com/movies/2012/06/fact_or_faked_paranormal_files.html
- A house in Oregon, USA, (Oregon Vortex) where a person cannot stand upright, as the feet cannot rest on it. Visitors quickly find themselves floating vertically, as if they were inside a spaceship.

Refuting the phenomenon of zero gravity on Earth's surface: It's not unlikely that this phenomenon will inspire scientists to discover the secret behind it. As we've explained, in some places where water has been observed flowing upwards, it's due to strong winds.

Scientists may one day discover its cause, and it will become a new discovery that will add to our knowledge of the blue planet.

Thank you !
