NASA has officially confirmed the target launch date for Artemis II: Wednesday, April 1, 2026! 📅
After years of preparation, we are just days away from seeing humans return to the Moon's vicinity for the first time in over 50 years. Here is the latest update from Kennedy Space Center:
👨🚀 The Crew is Ready: Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen arrived at the launch site on March 27 and are currently in pre-launch quarantine.
🚀 Rocket Status: The SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft are on Pad 39B, and teams have cleared the previous helium flow issues.
☀️ Weather Update: We’re looking at an 80% "GO" for weather!
⏰ Mark Your Calendars: The two-hour launch window opens at 6:24 p.m. EDT on April 1.
This 10-day mission will take these four brave explorers around the far side of the Moon, testing all systems to pave the way for the first woman and next man to land on the lunar surface.
