A growing number of photographers and creators have discovered that an authentic photograph can receive an “AI info” label after using certain AI-assisted editing tools.
The important distinction? AI-generated content is not the same as a real photograph that has been edited with AI.
Meta has acknowledged that minor AI modifications could previously trigger labels that didn’t always match creators’ expectations — and the company has since changed its terminology and labeling approach.
